Set in a post-apocalyptic Oregon two years after a global pandemic, former outlaw-grew to become-drifter Deacon St. John discovers the opportunity of his wife Sarah still being alive, which leads Deacon on a quest to discover her. Days Gone is played from a third-character perspective, wherein the participant can discover an open global surroundings. Players can use firearms, melee guns and improvised weapons, and can use stealth to shield towards antagonistic humans and cannibalistic creatures known as Freakers. A major sport mechanic is Deacon's drifter motorbike, which is used as the player's number one mode of transportation in addition to cellular inventory.
